An Underwater Depot

Millions of dollars’ worth of equipment and vehicles have fallen here, right off the beach. At the end of WWII, US forces tipped the equipment over the jetty because they couldn’t sell it. Tractors, lorries, cranes, and infrastructure line the sands, making it an intriguing site now that schools of fish have made it their home. Discover colourful coral in this underwater playground and find something fascinating around every corner. Interestingly, the tyres and some goods are in the same condition as they were 70 years ago.
